Caroline “Sweet Caroline” is a senior dog (medium size, probably 9 years old with black and tan coloring) who needs a loving home to live out her remaining years. In return she will be a wonderful companion with beautiful house manners, who loves to go on long, brisk walks (no loligagging for this girl), rides in the car, and could accompany her person to their office. Caroline also loves playing with tennis balls and eating beef marrow bones.
She prefers to be in the house and is looking for a home with no or few steps. She has degenerative joint disease in her front legs which is managed with an inexpensive anti-inflammatory. Going down steps isn’t comfortable for her but she’s perfectly capable of hopping up on the couch to catch a few Z’s. She’s wonderful with other dogs, wasn’t interested in a cat upon introduction, and likes meeting new people young and old. She was a bit aloof during her first day or two in the foster home but quickly settled in and let her affectionate side emerge. She takes treats gently and is always ready for a soft touch or gentle belly rub. She sleeps through the night on a dog bed. She’s been left alone for 4-5 hours and just sacked out.
